The entrance hall is often the first thing people notice when entering a home. It creates the first impression and is one of the spaces guests are most likely to remember. Keeping it organised without making it feel smaller is therefore essential.

For this detached house, we designed a custom-made hallway wardrobe that combines storage, seating and lighting in one carefully considered solution. To ensure the entrance remained open and inviting despite the additional storage, the semi-circular mirror was deliberately chosen as a central design feature. It reflects the available natural light and creates the impression of a more spacious entrance.

Behind two full-height doors, there is ample storage for coats, shoes, bags and everyday essentials. As the available space was limited, the wardrobe was deliberately designed with a reduced depth to maintain comfortable circulation. Instead of a hanging rail, practical hooks provide easy access to coats, while internal drawers offer additional storage for hats, scarves and other accessories.

An integrated bench provides a comfortable place to put on or take off shoes. The custom-made upholstered seat adds warmth and character, while the open space beneath the bench creates a lighter appearance and enhances the sense of spaciousness.

The combination of the mirror and oak-veneered acoustic panels gives the wardrobe its distinctive character. Together with the dimmable LED lighting, operated by gesture control, they create a harmonious entrance that combines functionality with refined design.
